The team

The Registry & Intelligence (R&I) group provides trusted information, data, and frontline services to support informed decision-making and confident participation in the Australian economy. ASIC administers over 30 legal registers, including the Companies and Business Names registers, which hold details of more than 3.2 million companies and 2.7 million business names. These registers are the official source of information on registered businesses and professionals across Australia. Used by businesses, industry professionals, government, and the public, the ASIC Registry supports a wide range of needs—from starting or updating a business to accessing public information—with dedicated assistance available to help users navigate their registrations.

The role

As a Business Change Manager, you will:

  • Lead and deliver change initiatives across the Registry to drive adoption and minimise resistance.
  • Prepare Registry Operations for change, ensuring smooth transitions from the RegistryConnect program and other projects.
  • Focus on the people side of change—assessing impacts, building readiness, and managing resistance.
  • Establish and lead a change champion network to embed change across Registry Operations and the broader R&I Group.
  • Partner with program/project managers on change deliverables, including operating models, benefits plans, and transition to BAU.
  • Monitor and report on change progress, adoption, benefits, and outcomes.
  • Support clear, timely communications throughout change initiatives, including post go-live and BAU transition.
  • Collaborate with ASIC's Change & Business Readiness team to enhance the change framework and build internal capability.

With a focus on people, processes, and technology, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to implement and transition key capabilities, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will coach teams on change management best practices, deliver clear and effective communications, and support the development of change management tools and frameworks.

In addition, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business, or Communications.
  • Proven experience in change management; certification (e.g. Prosci) highly regarded.
  • Skilled in planning and delivering people, process, and behaviour change activities.
  • Experience coaching teams in change management methodology and best practices.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, both written and verbal, across in-person and virtual settings.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across all levels.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to influence and achieve results.
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex technical information clearly.
