About the Role
We're seeking aPastry Sous Chef to join our growing pastry team at Capitol Grand. Reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef, this role supports the creation and delivery of high-quality, innovative desserts and pastries across our venues. It's an excellent opportunity for a strong Pastry Chef de Partie ready to step up, or a Junior Sous looking to expand their experience in a fast-paced, world-class environment.
About You
- 3–5 years' experience in professional kitchens, with at least 1–2 years in pastry supervision or leadership
- Formal culinary training in patisserie (Diploma in Patisserie or equivalent)
- Strong skills in both classic and modern pastry techniques
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior team members
- Passion for creativity, precision, and consistency in pastry
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards (Food Safety Supervisor certification required)
- Collaborative and adaptable, with strong organisational skills
