We are working closely with a reputable organisation within the Transport & Logistics industry who are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their growing team.

As part of a supportive finance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate delivery of payroll for a large and diverse workforce. If you're someone who takes pride in precision, thrives in a team environment, and enjoys continuous improvement, this role is for you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage the end-to-end weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and payroll data
  • Oversee superannuation, STP reporting, payroll tax, and third-party disbursements
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and company policies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
  • Provide support to the broader finance team as needed

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum
    5 years' experience
    in payroll, ideally within transport, logistics, or a similar fast-paced industry
  • Strong working knowledge of
    payroll legislation, awards, and compliance
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency with
    HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • A payroll or finance qualification (highly regarded but not essential)
