Senior Business Development Manager

Location: Perth (with travel required across WA)

We're looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to lead business expansion across Western Australia for a fast-growing, nationally recognised wholesale organisation—a business that has experienced rapid growth over the last 15+ years and is known for premium service, strong partnerships, and quality products across a wide portfolio of B2B sectors.

This role blends autonomy, strategy, and hands-on execution. You'll be expected to set the pace, drive performance, and captain your territory—backed by a strong national sales team and leadership who will give you the space (and trust) to make a big impact.

What you'll be doing

  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across Western Australia.
  • Managing the end-to-end sales cycle—from market mapping to lead generation, tender submissions, and onboarding new clients.
  • Building relationships at both C-level and operational levels, with the commercial acumen to negotiate complex contracts.
  • Developing proposals and tenders that demonstrate strong technical, commercial, and strategic value.
  • Supporting the business in hitting ambitious growth targets and building deeper market penetration.
  • Logging and managing pipeline activity through CRM, maintaining consistent reporting and forecasting.
  • Traveling within WA to engage face-to-face with existing and prospective customers.

What we're looking for

  • A proven track record in B2B sales and business development—ideally in industrial, wholesale, or similarly competitive landscapes.
  • Experience developing tenders, proposals, and long-term sales strategies.
  • Deep familiarity with customer acquisition and growth in private sector markets.
  • Strong commercial judgment: you know not just how to make a sale, but how to make it scalable and profitable.
  • High levels of self-drive—you'll be independent, resourceful, and adept at creating opportunities where none seemed to exist.
  • Outstanding negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders from frontline teams to C-suites.
