About Us:Step 2 Allied Health is a registered NDIS provider located in Geelong and Southwest Victoria that strives to provide quality services and support to our participants. Our multidisciplinary team supports a variety of participants including presentations within paediatric, adult, mental health, and autistic communities. The Step 2 Allied Health services currently include speech pathology, occupational therapy, behaviour support practitioners, counselling, equine therapy, therapy assistants, support work, and plan management.

The Role:

We are excited to offer the opportunity for upcoming graduates to join our structured new graduate program in a supportive environment.  We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic speech pathologist to join our growing team with the opportunity to build and shape their caseload with the support of their clinical supervisor.

You will have the opportunity to support participants across a range of communication needs at the clinic, in participant homes, schools, or in the community.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and intervention of a range of communication disorders
  • Support NDIS participants to achieve their goals through a person and family centred approach
  • Facilitate a neurodiverse-affirming approach through participant, parent, teacher, and carer education to support inclusion and participation
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration to provide a holistic approach to participant care
  • High-quality report writing to meet funding requirements, recommend funding, and support the participant to achieve their goals and access the supports they need.
  • Maintain up to date clinical documentation in line with SPA and NDIS standards
  • Development, implementation and regular review of Therapy Assistant programs
  • Manage your own caseload to meet new graduate KPIs with the support of our administrative team
  • Attend and engage in regular internal supervision, professional development and team meetings
  • Supporting regional participants across greater geelong and beyond including working in our Colac office once per fortnight

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant degree in Speech Pathology
  • Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) membership
  • Satisfactory Working with Children's Check (Employee)
  • Satisfactory National Police Check for Employment in Disability
  • Current Driver's Licence and own car
  • NDIS Worker Screener Check
