Who are we?

Peter Habit Therapy Co  is a small, mobile family-owned business based in Mudgeeraba on the Gold Coast. We service central and northern Gold Coast and visit children in kindergartens, schools, homes and out in the community. We also service schools in Brisbane and run intervention groups as part of our school-based program.

We are made by speech pathologists and run by speech pathologists, so communication is at the heart of what we do.

We have over 10 years of experience as paediatric speechies with specialist experience in the education and mental health sectors.

About the role:

We're looking for a passionate and bubbly speech pathologist to join our small Peter Habit family.

We're open to full-time, part-time, or casual arrangements — and can accommodate an immediate start or a slow build if you need time.

Our service is primarily mobile (with the option for in-clinic sessions) and involves visiting children and families at home, school/kindy, or in the community. We are based on the Gold Coast, however have schools in Brisbane where we run group-based programs.

We are a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming service and provide support to children and adolescents in the areas of;

Speech and language disorders

Literacy

Developmental delay

Early intervention

Neurodiversity (ASD, ADHD, etc)

Social communication

Mental Health and trauma

School-based services (including running small group programs alongside education staff)

About you:

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in providing assessments and therapy services for children aged years).

Warm, bubbly personality

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated skills in communicating with families and other stakeholders.

Understanding and commitment to strength-based, trauma-informed and neurodiverse affirming approaches.

Excellent time-management and organisational skills.

Drivers license.
