About the role

We are seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic and well-established speech pathology team at Orange Health Service. As the senior speech pathologist, you will be responsible for the provision of high quality comprehensive paediatric speech pathology services within community health (0-5 yrs) and the education setting- local schools and preschools. This role requires you to work independently.

This role will require you to provide high-quality, family-centred assessment, intervention, and consultation to children and families across primary and community health settings, local schools, and preschools. The role aims to support children's communication, language, and feeding development to enhance participation, learning, and wellbeing. Working collaboratively with families, educators, and multidisciplinary health teams, to promote early identification, prevention, and management of communication and swallowing difficulties. This position contributes to building capacity within the community by empowering families and educators to support children's development in their everyday environments.

Within this role you will promote quality and safety of services by providing clinical supervision and support to level 1 and 2 staff, allied health assistants and students. You will participate in planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on services to promote effectiveness and efficiency of clinical service delivery.
