Brookvale NSW, Australia Kids First Children's Services Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year
Paediatric Speech Pathologist | Brookvale, Sydney
You change kids' lives for the better – but right now, you're looking for more.

More time to do your job well.

More connection with families.

More collaboration with people who genuinely care.

More meaning – and less burnout.

Maybe you're working in an environment where you're juggling too many kids and not enough support.

Maybe you're working solo and missing the energy of a team.

Or maybe you've simply outgrown your current role and are ready for a fresh start somewhere that aligns with your values and your goals.

If that sounds familiar, you're not alone – and you might be just who we're looking for.

What you want in your next role matters.

You want to:

  • Work in a setting where therapy is personal, not pressured
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and their families
  • Have the support of senior colleagues who care about your growth
  • Be part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team where collaboration happens every day
  • Feel like your work matters – and be recognised for the contribution you make

At Kids First Children's Services, we hear you. And we've designed this role with speech pathologists like you in mind.

This opportunity is for a fully registered Speech Pathologist who:
  • Has experience supporting children aged 2 – 16 with a wide range of communication challenges
  • Is confident delivering one-to-one therapy and small group programs
  • Is comfortable working alongside OTs, psychologists, and early intervention teachers
  • Builds warm, authentic relationships with families and educators
  • Communicates clearly, works collaboratively, and brings a positive energy to their team
  • Lives within a comfortable commute to Brookvale, Sydney

Whether you've got 2 years of experience or 20, we're looking for someone who's clinically confident, curious, and committed to doing great work with a great team.

Why Kids First?

Since 2007, Kids First has supported more than 30,000 children and families across Sydney's Northern Beaches. We're a multidisciplinary clinic with a long-standing reputation for clinical excellence and a culture that's built on kindness, integrity, and community connection.

When you join Kids First, you'll find:

  • A warm, connected team of speechies, OTs, psychologists, and teachers
  • Daily collaboration – no silos here
  • Your own therapy room and access to great resources
  • Allocated admin time (so your evenings stay yours)
  • A manageable caseload and meaningful flexibility
  • Weekly mentoring, regular case conferences, and structured PD pathways
  • A beautiful Northern Beaches location and early finish Fridays

At Kids First, you're a person first and a practitioner second.

We give you the time you need.

We respect the boundaries of your personal and professional worlds so that work stays at work.

You'll also benefit from:
  • A structured onboarding program to help you hit the ground running
  • A generous PD budget and leave allocation
  • Weekly 1:1 mentoring with a Senior Speech Pathologist
  • Access to evidence-based programs like Sounds-Write and Traffic Jam in My Brain
  • A secure salary-based role (no commissions here) with bonus incentives
  • Time to connect with your colleagues – whether it's barefoot bowls, fireside catchups, or Lunch & Learns (yes, pizza happens)
Let's talk hours

This is a full-time role, but we're open to a 4-day week if that suits you better.

Want to start part-time and build up? We're open to that too. Let's chat about what works for you.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:
  • A recognised degree in Speech Pathology
  • Current Speech Pathology Australia registration
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Eligibility to hold a Medicare provider number
  • Australian residency
  • Availability to support children outside school hours
  • A strong alignment with our values of care, kindness, compassion, and contribution
  • A willingness to participate in team lunches, share cake, and enjoy a few laughs along the way
Ready for the next chapter in your career?

We'd love to hear from you. To apply, upload your CV and a short cover letter using the link below, or call our Director, Sonja Walker on for a confidential chat.
