About the role
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Grade 1 clinician to join the Western Health Speech Pathology Department. Based at Joan Kirner Women's and Children's at Sunshine Hospital, this position will involve patient care in the outpatient setting and will be supported by a team of experienced Speech Pathologists. You will become a valued member of our highly skilled Speech Pathology team and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You will have access to a robust supervision framework and opportunities to contribute to quality improvement initiatives, underpinned by Western Health's strong commitment to learning and development.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess and management of communication and feeding difficulties in children with developmental delay
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement, clinical research and professional development
- Ensure safe and high-quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and policies.
About you:
- Clinical competency and theoretical knowledge in the assessment and management of communication and feeding difficulties in children with developmental delay
- Knowledge of presenting issues in children with autism spectrum disorders
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
