Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in children.
- Develop individualised therapy plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each child.
- Provide evidence-based intervention and therapy to children with various speech and language difficulties.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to therapy.
- Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
- Provide support and guidance to families, empowering them to actively participate in their child's communication development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and outcome measures.
- Stay updated with the latest research, advancements, and best practices in the field of paediatric speech pathology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's OR Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Registration with the Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Flexibility to travel to various locations within Melbourne.
- Working with children check.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
