Accountant - Business Services Assistant Manager or Manager Position at HLB Mann Judd

About the opportunity:

Our Wollongong based business services and taxation division is growing and we are seeking to further build our business services team to continue this growth. The wealth of opportunities this position holds includes working within a great team, progressive career development and development of strong business acumen.

As part of the HLB Mann Judd (Wollongong) team, you will be working with a diverse range of clients, using a diverse range of accounting software packages, adding value to your knowledge and skill base.

You will also enjoy working alongside like-minded individuals in our Wollongong based office, positioned in the Wollongong CBD only steps away from cafes and restaurants, the shopping precinct and only minutes from our beaches.

You will report directly to the Partners, assisting with the management of client relationships and finding appropriate solutions for client needs. The right candidate will have opportunities to grow and progress within the firm, and will be exposed to various projects for clients as required. You will also assist with the management, training and development of team members.

Attractive remuneration package will be negotiated for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate.

About you:

  • Past years experience in professional public practice

  • Completed a Commerce/Business Degree majoring in Accounting

  • CA/CPA Qualified

  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written)

  • Experience with Xero, MYOB and QBO highly desirable

  • Outstanding people skills that allow genuine, authentic communication with fellow co-workers and clients alike

  • Passionate about contributing to a great team culture as you are about serving clients and making a difference

  • Inherent problem-solving skills and an inquisitive mind

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, not only meeting deadlines but overall aiming to exceed client expectations for an unparalleled delivery of service
