Surry Hills, New South Wales, Australia Hello Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

At Hello, we've had an incredible run recently, winning several industry awards that reflect our commitment to Creativity Intelligence, our full service methodology: delivering Brand Experience for the Digital Era. This year alone, we've been recognised as Campaign Asia Social Media & Influencer Agency of the Year, AIMCo Influencer Marketing Agency of the Year and won Best Use of Content and Best Small Media Campaign at AdNews Agency of the Year Awards.

As our client roster continues to grow, we're seeking a strategic and dynamic Group Account Director with deep expertise across Social, PR, and Integrated Campaign Management. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity and execution, a proven operator who can lead client relationships, guide specialist teams, and deliver powerful, integrated campaigns across video, event, and earned media.

You'll bring hands-on experience in video production, event management, and earned media strategy, with a track record of turning ideas into impact. Your leadership will drive the vision, strategy, and performance of campaigns that cut through and deliver measurable results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and execution of social media strategies and PR campaigns that drive engagement, visibility, and impact for clients.
  • Deliver integrated digital strategies that include social media, video, event, and earned media elements, ensuring all channels work in tandem to achieve client goals.
  • Maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, proactively identifying opportunities for client growth and innovation in social and earned media.
  • Act as the main advisor for clients, offering strategic recommendations for social media, PR, and integrated campaign management.

Project Management and Oversight:

  • Oversee the successful execution of integrated projects, including video, social, event, and earned media components, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
  • Manage and lead cross-functional teams to deliver multi-channel campaigns that exceed client expectations and drive measurable results.
  • Ensure high-quality, on-brand content is created across all media types, guiding the creative, media, production, and influencer teams to align with overall campaign objectives.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure flawless campaign delivery and seamless integration across channels.

Social Media and PR Expertise:

  • Lead the creation and execution of social media strategies that leverage platforms to engage audiences, build brand presence, and drive business outcomes.
  • Utilize deep expertise in public relations to build and manage earned media campaigns, working closely with influencers, media outlets, and stakeholders to amplify client messages.
  • Oversee influencer relations and PR outreach to enhance brand visibility, manage media coverage, and ensure strategic communication aligns with the client's brand voice.
  • Collaborate with media and PR teams to manage crisis communication, brand reputation, and public sentiment around client campaigns.

Integrated Campaign Leadership:

  • Ensure all projects, including video, events, and earned media, are integrated into a cohesive, impactful campaign strategy.
  • Work with specialized teams (creative, social, production, media) to ensure all aspects of a campaign are aligned and contributing to client objectives.
  • Take charge of complex campaigns that require a cross-disciplinary approach, driving results through strategic oversight and hands-on leadership.

Business Development & Client Growth:

  • Actively participate in new business development, supporting the pitching process by developing strategic ideas and presenting them to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the Client Solutions team to research, propose, and develop creative strategies for new business opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships, presenting new strategies and solutions in social media, PR, and integrated campaign management.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of account managers, coordinators, and specialists across social media, video, events, and PR.
  • Promote a collaborative, growth-focused environment within the team, ensuring best practices are shared and team members are supported in their professional development.
  • Contribute to the agency's operational leadership by supporting the introduction of new systems and processes to streamline client campaigns and improve operational efficiency.

Key Skills and Attributes:

Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms, PR strategies, influencer marketing, and digital campaign execution.
  • Strong background in managing and executing earned media strategies to amplify client visibility, brand reputation, and engagement.

Skills:

  • PR Proficiency: Strong understanding of public relations principles, media outreach, crisis communication, and influencer relations.
  • Ability to manage and oversee large-scale integrated projects, ensuring smooth coordination across teams and external partners.
