Are you a seasoned Civil Estimator who knows what it really takes to build a project in WA? Can you look at a set of plans and see the methodology, the risks, and the path to a winning tender?

We are representing a leading civil construction contractor with a strong pipeline of major earthworks and infrastructure projects across the mining and resources sector. Due to sustained growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their high-performing team in one of Perth's North east suburbs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term role with a stable and growing company. 

What You Will Do:

  • Prepare accurate, 'first principles' estimates and tenders for major civil and earthworks projects.
  • Dive deep into project plans, drawings, and specifications to conduct detailed quantity take-offs.
  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to build a competitive and reliable cost base.
  • Analyse project risks and opportunities to ensure your tenders are not only sharp but also deliverable.
  • Collaborate closely with the project and management teams to develop winning tender methodologies and construction schedules.
  • Prepare and compile all necessary documentation for a compliant and professional tender submission.

Who We're Looking For:

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience as a Civil Estimator, ideally working for a contractor in Western Australia.
  • Your project experience is in heavy civil construction, bulk earthworks, roads, or mining infrastructure (e.g., haul roads, TSFs, drainage).
  • You are proficient with estimating software (experience with Candy, CostX, or similar is highly regarded).
  • You have a sharp eye for detail, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines.
  • You are a clear communicator who can effectively liaise with both internal teams and external suppliers.
