About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing Perth-based team. Based at our West Perth head office, you will be a key contributor in compiling tenders and proposals across diverse civil projects, including earthworks, roads, pipelines, concrete works, and other infrastructure packages.

Working both independently and alongside our Estimating Team, you will be responsible for producing accurate first-principal cost estimates, preparing high-quality submissions, and supporting the successful delivery of major tenders, proposals, and EOIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed first-principal cost estimates across a range of civil disciplines.
  • Carry out material quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities.
  • Compile competitive tenders, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance.
  • Develop construction methodologies, schedules, and submission documentation.
  • Identify risks, ambiguities, and issues in tender documents and seek clarification via RFIs.
  • Provide clear tender handovers and support pre-contracts and project delivery teams.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Work efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in the Australian civil construction industry, with at least 5 years as an Estimator.
  • Proven experience across civil, bulk earthworks, roads, pipelines, concrete, and non-process infrastructure works.
  • Proven experience managing successful tenders up to $40 million across varied clients and sectors.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (MS Project and/or P6).
  • Experience with estimating software (HeavyBid, Expert Estimation, Candy, or similar).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff (or similar) highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
