Perth, Western Australia Georgiou Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

As a result of Georgiou's significant growth, we are seeking an experienced Supervisor in the civil earthworks and road construction space to join our Midland Junction Alliance project. Working closely with the other Supervisors and Superintendents, you will be responsible for ensuring the days planned operational activities are completed in a safe and timely manner. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a busy, dynamic, and rewarding environment.

You Will Be Trusted To

  • Manage earthworks activities, road and rail formation construction, pavements construction, drainage and finishing works relating to the civil construction.
  • Monitor part of a project to ensure your section or package of work is delivered on time and budget, within quality standards
  • Liaise with subcontractor supervisors on works in progress
  • Manage works in accordance with the Project Management Plan
  • Have a strong focus on personal and team safety through our "Safety is My Way" initiative
  • Ensure your team is fully skilled and has the required resources to meet productivity targets
  • Drive productivity and manage the performance of your team and subcontractors
  • Lead and coordinate, labour, plant, materials and subcontractors daily
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders including Senior Management, Clients and Government Authorities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Conduct and participate in site meetings (toolboxes, pre-start, inductions and other health and safety requirements)

What You're Good At

  • Previous experience as earthworks (bulk and detail), formation and road pavement construction as well as drainage.
  • Previous experience in a civil construction Supervisory position
  • Strong ability to monitor a section of work and co-ordinate resources to deliver on time and budget, while upholding a high-quality standard
  • An engaging and driven leader with experience in driving a high standard of work and safety
  • Previous experience of managing a large work crew
  • Be able to show competence in planning projects and recording progress
  • Strong IT and communication skills
  • Excellent safety record
