The opportunity

We are seeking talented chefs and cooks to join our team at THE QUARTERS in Esperance, Western Australia for our upcoming Summer season, starting asap and finishing around May 2026. As a chef or cook in our kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that showcase your culinary expertise and delight our customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients
  • Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
  • Collaborating with the team to create innovative menu items and specials
  • Ensuring efficient and timely meal preparation to meet customer demand
  • Participating in menu planning and development to align with seasonal availability and customer preferences
  • Providing excellent customer service and attention to detail in all aspects of the role

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a chef or cook, ideally in a hospitality or tourism setting
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and plating techniques
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • A creative and innovative mindset to develop new menu items and culinary concepts
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen culture
