About the Role

The Events & Experience Officer operates under the direction of the Manager, Student Engagement and is responsible for supporting the delivery of Swinburne Student Association's events program.

The role of the Events & Experience Officer is to conduct all the administrative and operational aspects of the events function for Swinburne Student Association, delivering quality student experiences through events, fixed engagement space and place making.

The incumbent will regularly be required to work at all Melbourne campuses (Hawthorn, Croydon and Wantirna) but will be primarily based at the Hawthorn Campus. 

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in Event Management or related area with measurable outcomes;
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service and or implement new initiatives; and
  • Demonstrated forward planning and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Qualifications

A degree/qualification in events management, or a related field (with 12 months experience preferred); an associate diploma with at least two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in events management.
