Resource Co-ordinator
Looking for more than just a job?
If you're the kind of person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, keeps things moving, and values being part of a team where your work actually makes a difference — this could be the role you've been waiting for
At SCS, we do things differently.
We've been supporting the mining industry with high-quality technical services for 13 years — and we're still growing. Our crew works hard, backs each other, and takes pride in doing things the right way — not just the easy way.
We're not your average company — and we're okay with that. Our people are loyal, our culture is real, and our clients trust us because we show up, do the work, and get it right.
Now, we're looking for a Resource Co-ordinator to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
What the role looks like:
You'll be at the centre of our operations — managing the moving parts that keep our crews and projects on track. From onsite trade scheduling to shutdown communications, rosters, employee availability, and timesheet + allowance management, you'll be the go-to person who makes sure it all happens — and happens well.
You'll work closely with the Field Team, Workshop Foreman, HR, and the wider Resource Team to ensure we've got the right people, in the right place, at the right time.
Our teams are on the clock 24:7. You'll be acting as the first point of contact for last-minute changes, updates, and coordination as needs arise and be responsible for the Resource mobile phone after hours on a rostered on-call basis.
Day-to-day, you'll:
- Schedule onsite trades and coordinate resources for upcoming jobs
- Coordinate employee availability across multiple sites and projects
- Lead shutdown communications — keeping everyone aligned
- Create and update rosters and labour plans
- Receive and input timesheets, and assign allowances
- Responsible for the Resource mobile phone during business hours— responding to calls and real-time updates
- Communicate clearly with staff, contractors, and site representatives
- Input schedules into SimPro for accurate planning and tracking
- Work with subcontractors and internal teams to build and maintain labour lists
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 2+ years in a mining/maintenance planning, workforce coordination or travel logistics role or similar (essential)
- Familiarity with SimPro & Smartsheet or similar scheduling software (ideal, not essential)
- Strong communicator — confident and professional on the phone, in email, and directly with the team.
- Organised, efficient, and able to adapt & respond when plans change
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and a genuine team player
- Australian work rights required
What you'll get:
- Full-time role | Monday to Friday | 7:30am – 4:00pm
- 5 weeks annual leave
- Salary sacrifice options
- Ongoing paid training and development opportunities
Don't tick every box? That's okay. We value people with the right attitude and a willingness to learn — we can teach the rest.
