The Role

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Co-ordinator (Cancer Care) to lead Bullinah's Cancer Program. You'll guide a small team, build strong partnerships with health providers, and support our community with culturally safe cancer care, awareness, and education.

The role

As the Cancer Care Co-ordinator, you will:

·       Lead and oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of culturally safe cancer care initiatives.

·       Supervise and support a team of Health Promotion Officers.

·       Build strong partnerships with hospitals, cancer networks, and service providers.

·       Ensure community engagement through health promotion campaigns, workshops, and events.

·       Support clients and families with cancer care navigation, including access to screening, treatment, and support services.

·       Drive program compliance, reporting, and continuous quality improvement.

This is an opportunity to take a leadership role in addressing cancer stigma, improving access to care, and creating better outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

·       Aboriginality – this is a genuine occupational requirement under Section 14 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

·       Qualifications in health promotion, community development, public health, nursing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

·       Strong experience in program coordination, planning, and reporting.

·       Knowledge of cancer prevention, screening, care pathways, and Aboriginal community health contexts.

·       Experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

·       Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills.

·       Confidence in leading teams and managing program resources.

You will also hold (or be willing to obtain) a current NSW Working with Children Check, National Police Check, COVID19 vaccination and a current NSW driver's licence.
