A well-established State Government Organisation is seeking a proactive and experienced Property Partner - Projects to join its Property Services team. This team is responsible for delivering property solutions across a large network of offices throughout Victoria. With a strong focus on service delivery, stakeholder engagement, and project excellence, this organisation offers a dynamic and supportive environment where your work directly contributes to the smooth operation of government services.

Your new role

As a Property Partner - Projects, you'll lead the delivery of office relocation, refurbishment, and fit-out projects across a diverse property portfolio. You'll also negotiate new leases and manage project lifecycles from planning through to completion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing strategic planning with hands-on project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lease Negotiation: Sourcing new office locations and negotiating lease terms with landlords and agents.
  • Project Delivery: Managing relocation and refurbishment projects in line with established frameworks and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as the primary contact for Members, staff, and service providers, ensuring a client-centric approach.
  • Budget & Risk Management: Overseeing project budgets, identifying risks, and implementing solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Procurement & Compliance: Coordinating the acquisition of furniture, equipment, signage, and telecoms in line with policies.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintaining accurate lease files, project data, and reporting systems.
  • Site Inspections & Audits: Attending fit-out inspections and supporting pre-election planning and property audits.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you'll bring a strong mix of property expertise, project management skills, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Specifically, you'll have:

  • Proven Experience: In lease negotiation and delivering property projects within a facilities or real estate environment.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Able to consult and negotiate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Analytical Thinking: Skilled in resolving complex issues with diplomacy and sound judgement.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong written and digital literacy, with experience in reporting and project documentation.
  • Team Collaboration: A flexible, cooperative approach and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Mandatory Requirements: Successful completion of misconduct screening and police checks, and willingness to travel as required.
