About the Business
South Burnett Regional Council is one of the largest employers within the region, with offices and depots located in Kingaroy, Nanango, Wondai, Murgon, Proston and Blackbutt.
Council recognises our key role we play within the community and the services we provide to our ratepayers & public members. We understand our duty to provide excellent customer service at the forefront of all our processes and services, to all stakeholders.
Council is comprised of three (3) Departments: Executive Services, Finance & Liveability, and Infrastructure. These Departments consist of multiple branches to ensure we provide efficient services and accurate information to our community. We believe our staff are our greatest asset in achieving objectives. About the Region
The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. The region is home to the stunning Bunya Mountains, where you can enjoy spectacular rainforest walks, nights by the fire in hidden chalets and the best scenic views Queensland has to offer. The South Burnett region is renowned for its great wine, gourmet foods and recreational facilities such as Lake Boondooma and Yallakool tourist parks.
About the roles

- $66K- $69K per annum + Allowances + Super
Council is seeking an officer to provide professional administrative service which support the effective and efficient operation of the Planning and Development branch. The role will assist with Planning and Development enquiries and complaints and provide support to the team ensuring a high level of customer service is provided. Assist in the delegation and action of customer requests, complaints and escalations monitoring progress whilst recording outcomes in Council's corporate systems. The successful applicant will have relevant experience in an administrative role providing high level of customer service in a busy environment. Sound organisational skills with the ability to establish work priorities, complete assigned tasks within required standards and meet deadlines with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Skills and experience
