Our EnergyCo NSW Strategy & Policy Division is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Advisor, Parliament and Government Services to deliver expert advice, coordination and assurance across Ministerial, Parliamentary and Cabinet obligations - helping EnergyCo maintain strong governance, transparency and accountability as we deliver NSW's clean energy future.

You'll draft crisp, high-quality briefs and correspondence; coordinate the collation, preparation and review of materials; and partner with policy and technical experts to ensure timely, accurate and plain-English outputs. You'll horizon-scan Parliament for emerging issues, synthesise complex information for Ministers and Executives and recommend process improvements that lift efficiency and service delivery - all while modelling integrity, quality assurance and continuous improvement in a collaborative, fast-moving team. 

About You
You bring proven knowledge of Parliamentary, Cabinet and Ministerial processes, with a track record preparing clear, accurate and timely material for senior decision-makers. You work well with diverse stakeholders (including senior executives and other agencies), balancing competing priorities to deliver high-quality, on-time outputs.

You communicate effectively, collaborate broadly, deliver results and think critically to solve problems. You act with integrity, manage self, and use contemporary channels to tailor messages for different audiences. Project management capability helps you plan, monitor and improve delivery.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in public policy, government, law, communications or a related discipline, and/or equivalent relevant experience.

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy.  EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government's Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state's electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State's first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
