About The Role:

We're on the lookout for a talented and proactive Weighing Field Service Technician to join our growing WA team. In this role, you'll lead the installation, servicing, calibration, and repair of advanced weighing systems across a range of machinery—including wheel loaders, excavators, forklifts, material handlers, telehandlers, and conveyors. You'll be a vital force behind our market leadership, delivering outstanding service and ensuring top performance across the region.

Key Attributes:

We're looking for someone who brings technical expertise, a safety-first mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience in weighing systems or similar field technologies
  • Strong proficiency in auto electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems
  • The ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
  • A track record of reliability, ownership, and pride in your work
  • Willingness to travel as required and work in remote locations
  • Confidence working independently and problem-solving on the go
  • HR licence (advantageous)
  • Additional experience in forklift, crane, or dogging operations (desirable but not essential)
  • Understanding of NMI certification processes (desirable)
  • Required: Weighbridge Trade Certification (6.4)
  • Advantageous: Wheeled Loaders Trade Certification (6.8)

Responsibilities:

You'll take the lead in field service excellence, with responsibilities including:

  • Championing a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture
  • Installing and removing weighing components on heavy equipment
  • Diagnosing issues and performing repairs with technical accuracy
  • Completing inspections and providing detailed technical estimates
  • Interpreting installation drawings and adhering to quality requirements
  • Accessing technical data from manuals, OEMs, and digital systems
  • Calibrating systems to NMI standards and preparing reports
  • Managing documentation: job sheets, timesheets, service reports
  • Communicating clearly with managers on service outcomes and trends
  • Participating in continuous upskilling including training in HR licensing, NMI certification, product-specific knowledge, electrical/hydraulic systems, and more
