The opportunity

We are looking for a curious, hands-on R&D Technician who enjoys problem-solving, learning new technologies, and working with a team to bring innovative products to life. Whether you are assembling prototypes, supporting field testing, or refining components using 3D printing and fabrication tool, you will be part of a collaborative team shaping the future of mining. This is your chance to:

  • Build and modify components using both traditional (machining and fabrication) and modern (3D printing) methods.
  • Assemble and test prototypes and fixtures, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Partner with engineers and technicians across disciplines to improve outcomes and challenge each other respectfully.
  • Contribute to safety and risk management processes and uphold high standards of workplace wellbeing.

To be successful

We welcome people from a range of backgrounds and are especially keen to hear from talent with practical, hands-on experience in mechanical or technical fields. To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised trade qualification and experience operating lathes or mills.
  • The ability to read drawings and build to spec, with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • A love of problem-solving and trying new approaches.
  • Experience in product testing or prototyping.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD or 3D printing (an advantage, not essential).
  • An interest in both mechanical and electrical technologies is a plus.
