About ECHO

ECHO Community Services is a registered charity providing care to the elderly to help them live in their own home with dignity while still maintaining their independence.

We provide in-home services 7 days per week for Home Care Package and 5 days per week for CHSP.

Our goal is to provide services at the same time, on the same day and with the same team of Support Workers which means that you know the people who are coming and the time they will arrive. Having the same support workers providing services, in particular, medication prompts and personal care, maintains the person's dignity and well-being. You know and can trust the people attending. There is continuity of care for people who receive our services.

Our Home Care team builds lasting relationships with our clients so that they may stay at home or get out into the community to do the things that they enjoy.

Duties and Responsibilities are:

  • Supporting the Client Advisors with Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) client assessments, environment assessments and simple care plans.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient services are provided to clients.
  • Assisting clients in rostering and general inquiries
  • Ensuring administrative requirements are met
  • Preparation of documents for Home Care agreements, CHSP home files etc
  • Willingness to answer telephone enquiries, take messages and direct to the relevant person.
  • Ability to support the client with acknowledging and investigating complaints within scope of duties and knowledge
  • Other administrative duties as directed.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualification:

  • Certificate in business/administration or equivalent desirable

Essential:

  • Substantial administrative experience, refer to duties above.
  • Aged Care experience.
  • Ability to manage complaints in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Experience in IT systems including Email, Excel, CMS and with ECASE system is highly regarded.
  • Above average customer service skills.

Competencies:

  • Teamwork – demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to effectively.
  • Professional approach.
  • Time Management - demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise work.
  • Initiative
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite applications.
  • Above Average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent and clearly spoken English language skill.
