As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Sales Support and Client Services.
About the Role:
This role plays a key part in supporting both our sales and operational teams to ensure exceptional service delivery to our clients. You will be the vital link between our customers and various internal departments, process quotes, set up new customers, handle enquiries, helping to manage client relationships, and support new business development activities.
The Position:
Reporting to the Customer Relationship Manager, the position will consist of the following duties and responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and customer service support to the sales team
- Prepare and follow up on freight quotations, tenders, and rate requests
- Liaise with clients, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth shipment processing
- Assist in maintaining client records, tracking shipments, and communicating with clients
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and escalate as needed
- Support business development by identifying opportunities for upselling or improvements
- Coordinate with operations teams to meet client deadlines and service expectations
Requirements:
- Prior experience in freight forwarding, transport and logistics
- Knowledge of Incoterms, transport modes, and international shipping documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills with clients and team members with a proactive approach to tasks
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- A customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Freight forwarding software (CargoWise) experience would be preferred
