Our Secondary Campus is in Dungay, an 8-minute drive from Murwillumbah.

TEACHER AIDE/SCHOOL ASSISTANT/CLASSROOM SUPPORT SERVICE EMPLOYEE POSITION AT SECONDAR CAMPUS, DUNGAY

Temporary: 12-month contract with possible extension

Start Date: 27th January 2026

A Teacher Aide position has become available at our Secondary Campus for 5 days a week (6.0 hours a day). Trained teacher aides who can support the classroom/subject teachers and students are preferred, however all applications will be considered.

Selection Criteria

· Appropriate qualifications to work at a Primary school and/or Secondary school in NSW for years Kindergarten to Year 12.

· A strong resonance with the school's core philosophy of education in human values and capable of helping teachers to create a classroom environment in which children can achieve their full potential.

· Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

· Demonstrated capacity to contribute collaboratively and effectively to whole school programs and the school community.

Essential:

· Certificate III in school-based education support or equivalent or working towards.

· A current NSW WWCC clearance number submitted as part of the application.

· Willingness to implement school policies.

· Commitment to professional development related to Education in Human Values, as provided by the school.

Basic duties include, but are not limited to:

· provide one-on-one and small group support to students with a disability and/or additional learning needs.

· support the classroom teacher to implement support strategies outlined in a student's Individualised Education Plan.

· communicate and liaise with teachers and other staff to support student learning.

  • assist with activities in and out of the classroom under the teacher's discretion.

  • assist teachers and administrative staff with tasks such as photocopying, laminating, notice board displays and preparation of class materials.

· assist in preparing, setting up, packing up and/or cleaning student work areas.

· adhere to the school's policy on privacy and confidentiality of student and school information.

· any other duties as deemed necessary by the Classroom Teacher, the Principal or the Business Manager.

· a Secondary Teacher Aide may also be required to assist in specialist subjects such as cooking, woodwork, etc.
