About the role

Versatile is looking for a proactive and organised individual to join our team as an Accounts Officer. This full-time role is based in Prospect, NSW and will work closely with our Allocations Manager and Commercial Manager within our Absolute business.

You will play a critical role in this fast-paced environment with your decision-making skills and guidance. Collaborating with various stakeholders to optimise resource allocation while maintaining a high level of service and quality for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable

  • Set up clients and manage debtor master files
  • Process invoices, progress claims, and sundry billing for Absolute projects
  • Apply receipts to debtor accounts and manage unapplied cash
  • Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collections
  • Generate weekly AR reports and ensure accuracy before distribution
  • Liaise with internal teams and clients to resolve billing issues and maintain positive relationship

Administrative & Reporting Tasks

  • Maintain operational registers including invoice logs, payment schedules, and compliance documentation.
  • Support onboarding of new project staff to ensure understanding of finance procedures and systems.
  • Coordinate with operations and project teams to ensure documentation is complete and accessible.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system upgrades to enhance reporting and automation.
  • Printing, Filing, scanning, mail distribution and answering all finance related calls

About you

To be considered for the Accounts Officervacancy, you will be required to have:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or an equivalent knowledge and work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Be driven, motivated and have willingness to take on challenges head on
