We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Support Officer for a 3-4 month temporary contract with an immediate start Join a large, highly respected government organisation and be part of a supportive, collaborative HR team of over 20 people in the CBD. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an immediate impact in a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Administration: Deliver timely and confidential administrative services, including preparing engagement documentation, managing leave provisions, and processing conditions of employment.
  • Recruitment Coordination: Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, from drafting job advertisements and reviewing requisitions to publishing vacancies.
  • Data Management: Maintain the integrity of workforce data by creating and updating employee information in our HR management system (Chris 21).
  • Operational Support: Provide guidance and advice on HR procedures and practices to business units. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of HR services by developing new procedures and training materials.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar HR administration or support role.
  • Ideally, you'll have experience in public sector, but this isn't essential.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Expereince in using Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
