Position OverviewAt Kip&Co, the Senior Designer plays a pivotal role in leading our creative vision across textiles, apparel, and homewares. Collaborating closely with the two Creative Directors, this role ensures that every product—from initial concept to final execution—embodies our distinctive aesthetic and meets our high-quality standards.
As the Senior Designer, they oversee the development of original prints, patterns, and product designs, ensuring alignment with Kip&Co's brand identity and market trends. This position requires a blend of creative innovation, strategic thinking, and leadership to drive the design process forward.
Key responsibilities also include managing the design workflow to meet critical deadlines, guiding the team through seasonal collections, and collaborating with cross-functional departments such as production and merchandising. The Senior Designer also plays a crucial role in maintaining design archives, contributing to campaign lookbooks, and ensuring all design elements are production-ready and commercially viable.
This role is ideal for a dynamic and experienced design professional who is passionate about textiles and product design, possesses strong leadership skills, and is committed to delivering innovative and cohesive collections that resonate with our customers.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead weekly design meetings and manage the design team's workflow, ensuring alignment with the critical path.

Create and prepare artwork files, including repeats and colour separations.

Develop original textile designs that reflect the Kip&Co brand using both hand-drawn and digital methods.

Execute print and product designs across multiple categories including textiles, apparel, and hard goods.

Conduct market and trend research to inform product recommendations to the Creative Directors.

Review samples in collaboration with the production team, providing feedback and approvals.

Contribute to the creation of campaign and collection lookbooks.

Collaborate with the Merchandise Manager to develop range plans.

Partner with the Production team to ensure designs are production-ready, feasible, and meet quality and compliance standards.

Design packaging solutions that align with Kip&Co's brand.

Prepare comprehensive CAD's and spec sheets are updated accurately and in a timely manner.

Provide ad hoc design support to other areas of the business as needed.

Range presentation to internal stakeholders and external customers (as required).

Maintain responsibility for timely completion of design-related tasks to ensure on-time delivery of all products.

Bring experience in collection planning and execution.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior design role within the lifestyle, fashion, or homewares industry.
Strong background in textile design, including experience creating repeat prints, working with different fabrications, and understanding print and dye techniques.
Ability to design cost-efficiently—balancing creativity with commercial and production considerations.
Demonstrated ability to prepare end-to-end seasonal design development across multiple product categories.
A strong sense of colour, composition, and pattern—aligned with Kip&Co's unique visual language.
Experience leading, mentoring, and collaborating with design colleagues and cross-functional teams (production, merchandising, marketing).
Highly organised, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple seasonal timelines simultaneously.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, Photoshop InDesign) MS Office (particularly Excel), and PowerPoint
