The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join the clinical leadership team of our growing organisation. Based in Fitzroy, this senior leadership position will lead by example, fostering a positive team culture and ensuring that quality and safe care remain central to everything we do.
This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and managing efficient and effective clinical operations, while also contributing to service improvement and team development. The position offers a balanced workload, with a 50% clinical caseload and 50% clinical leadership responsibilities, ideal for someone looking to showcase their leadership while remaining engaged in hands-on clinical work.
This is a parental leave 6mths contract either Full time or Part time starting September 2025
About us
Clarity Health Care is an accredited mental health service delivering a multidisciplinary, responsive program offering care to people with any form of mental health concern or mental illness. Our mental health programs offer psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and registered nurses. More important than discipline, is the individual skill of the senior mental health clinicians we employ.
Evidence-based care is delivered through outreach services, clinic-based appointments, telehealth and group programs, based on clinical reasoning and need. Due to the design of the workforce at Clarity, collaboration and continuity of care is core to the delivery of the treatment, with the recovery model and bio-psycho-social model being the grounding principles of all care.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct management of a team of clinicians.
- Provide clear direction and effective communication to team members.
- Ensure the team operates in line with Clarity's values and Model of Care.
- Provide professional supervision to team members.
- Ensure clinical processes and services meet all legislative requirements.
- Lead and promote continuous quality improvement by identifying and addressing barriers to effective care.
- Maintain program-specific governance systems and oversee operational reporting.
- Maintain the operational risk register and contribute to the Strategic Risk Register.
- Undertake and monitor clinical quality and safety audits and performance indicators.
- Monitor patient safety indicators and implement appropriate clinical risk mitigation strategies.
- Track patient outcome measures and support implementation of evaluation strategies.
- Work collaboratively with external stakeholders and funding partners.
- Oversee reporting and ensure contract compliance with funding partners.
- Collaborate with the Executive team to develop and implement the organisation's Strategic Plan.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of clinical staff.
- Facilitate training, professional development, and supervision for clinical team members and Conduct and monitor clinical quality and safety audits to uphold service standards.
About you
- 10+ years of clinical experience with significant experience in the mental health sector
- Deep knowledge of the Victorian Mental health regulatory environment and best practice Clinical Governance
- Demonstrated experience working with high risk and complex patients
- Approved tertiary qualifications enabling registration with AHPRA and the relevant professional body
- Qualifications as per Medicare Requirements (if appropriate)
- High level of computer literacy skills
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence; A current First Aid (Level 2) certificate
- A recent criminal records check (within the last 3months)
