About the role

Li Lo Pools' has an opportunity for a skilled swimming pool professional to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland. This full-time role is integral to the success of our growing business, which specialises in the construction, renovation and maintenance of high-quality commercial and residential swimming pools.

What you'll be doing

• Performing general construction, renovation and maintenance tasks related to the installation and upkeep of residential and commercial swimming pools
• Collaborating with the design and project teams to ensure seamless execution of pool construction projects
• Troubleshooting and repairing any issues that may arise with pool equipment, filtration systems, and other pool-related infrastructure
• Adhering to all relevant safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe work environment
• Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with clients throughout the project
• Participating in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with the latest industry practices and technologies

The advertised position includes the following work, but is not limited to:

• Running/installation of pipework (plumbing) - Experience preferred.
• Installing pipe hangers/hanging systems (overhead and ground level) – includes cutting threaded rod, drilling holes, etc. - Experience preferred.
• Working with rebar/steel, concrete, form work - Experience preferred.
• Working with tools – jack hammers, core drills, drills, grinders, brick saws, demo saws, etc. - Experience preferred.
• Installation of pool filtration systems, lights and automation. Servicing pools and equipment - Experience preferred.
• Pool rough-ins – installing skimmer boxes, pipework, light housings, etc, before concrete - Experience preferred.
• Working at heights and in confined spaces - Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry permits preferred
• General labour, digging trenches, etc. - Construction White Card Required
• Working from scissor and boom lifts - Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket for under 11 metres preferred

What we're looking for

• Relevant trade qualifications and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the building or construction industry, preferably in the pool and spa sector
• Strong technical skills and an understanding of pool construction, repair, and maintenance processes
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the team and engage with clients
• A commitment to safety and a willingness to follow all established procedures and regulations
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting, working in various weather conditions, and standing for extended periods
• Reliable transportation to reach job sites
• Must have unrestricted right to work in Australia (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work visa)
• Essential: Construction White Card and valid manual driver's licence. Preferred: Certificate III in Pool and Spa Servicing or relevant plumbing/construction qualification
