About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team at Thomas Paul Constructions' as an Assistant Production Estimator & Contracts Admin. In this full-time position based in Bundall, Queensland, you will play a crucial role in supporting the estimating function and contributing to the overall success of construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting with the preparation of detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects
  • Gathering and analysing data from various sources to develop accurate takeoffs and cost breakdowns
  • Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure estimates are aligned with project requirements
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation throughout the estimating process
  • Supporting the senior estimating team with administrative tasks and other duties as required
  • Negotiating Rates with suppliers and canvasing for new contractors
  • Managing the preparation and administration of contracts for trades, subcontractors, and suppliers

What we're looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
