Accounts Receivable Officer – Hospitality Industry

South Melbourne | Full-time | In-office | Permanent

We're currently working with a growing accommodation and hospitality group to recruit an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment and enjoys being part of a business that continues to expand across Australia.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage the day-to-day AR function across multiple sites. This is a full-time, office-based role that will suit someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable function across multiple locations
  • Raise and issue invoices accurately and within deadlines
  • Reconcile debtor accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Monitor and maintain the debtor ledger to ensure accuracy
  • Handle AR-related queries from internal stakeholders and customers
  • Support with month-end reporting and reconciliations
  • Assist with process improvements within the finance team

About You:

  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, ideally within hospitality, retail, or a multi-site business
  • Strong reconciliation and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Experience with RMS software
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (experience with industry-specific systems is a plus)
