The Opportunity
We are seeking applications from experienced
Tunnelling Project Managers
to join our team.
Reporting to the General Manager and based in the
Snowy Mountains Region
, you will work within a diverse and multidisciplinary project team, assisting in the delivery of tunnelling works on this major renewable energy infrastructure project Snowy Hydro 2.0.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Evaluate engineering designs for constructability and develop effective construction solutions and plans
- Assistance in developing commercial and technical specifications for selection and engagement of vendors and subcontractors
- Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel
- Provide general technical assistance to supervisory personnel
- Work closely with other Engineers, Site Supervisors, HSE, Quality, Commercial and Planning teams to plan and execute works packages on-site to program and budget
- Analyse risks within construction to ensure works are delivered safely and meet all environmental and quality requirements
- Develop daily shift reports capturing the critical path activities whilst ensuring the program is on track
- Prepare construction budgets, forecasts, and monitor construction costs in delivery
To be considered for this role, the following is essential:
- Bachelor of Civil/Structural or Geo-technical Engineering - or other relevant qualifications
- Experience in construction teams as an Engineer/Project Manager delivering a variety of infrastructure projects
- Commercial acumen including strong skills in budgeting, forecasting and cost reporting
- Knowledge of Australian Standards, regulator guidelines and design codes
- Competence in interpreting technical schedules and documentation
- Exposure to large infrastructure projects ideally with excavation via Drill and Blast and FRP works
- Able to manage effective relationships with the client, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Ideally with specific experience working with design and construct projects
- Well-developed time management, organisational and communication skills
- Able to manage several tasks at once and meet multiple deadlines
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
