About the Company

Phillip Riley is proud to partner exclusively with MPower, a trusted Australian renewable energy company with more than 30 years of experience delivering innovative and reliable power solutions. MPower has built a strong reputation for its expertise in distribution-scale renewable generation, battery storage, and hybrid energy systems, serving government, utility, and corporate clients.

In 2025, MPower's renewable energy and battery storage business was acquired by Wollemi Energy Group, a climate-focused investment firm dedicated to supporting the global transition to net zero. This new partnership provides MPower with the financial strength and strategic backing to accelerate its project pipeline and deliver a growing portfolio of high-quality distributed energy projects across Australia.

Together, MPower and Wollemi bring the technical capability, investment power, and long-standing industry relationships to play a leading role in Australia's clean energy future.

Phillip Riley is proud to partner exclusively with MPower to deliver this recruitment campaign. This is a unique opportunity to join a business at the forefront of Australia's renewable energy transition, backed by Wollemi Energy Group's significant investment and ambitious growth pipeline.

About the RoleReporting to the Head of Delivery, the Project Manager will take full ownership of the delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects from FID through to completion and handover.

You'll oversee all aspects of project execution - commercial, technical, and contractual - while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.

With four new projects due to reach FID before the end of December, this is an exciting opportunity to join MPower at a pivotal growth stage and immediately lead the delivery of distributed solar and BESS assets across the East Coast.

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of solar and BESS projects from mobilisation to handover.
  • Manage cost, schedule, risk, and quality performance in line with approved budgets and plans.
  • Administer head contracts, variations, and claims to protect MPower's commercial position.
  • Coordinate design reviews, grid connection, and commissioning activities with engineering and contractors.
  • Drive compliance with MPower's HSEQ and ESG frameworks, ensuring safe and sustainable delivery.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
  • 8+ years' experience managing large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
  • Proven success delivering distribution-connected (11/22/33kV) solar and/or battery projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract administration skills under Australian Standards.
  • Proficient in Primavera/MS Project and project management systems such as Procore.

Why Join MPower?

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing Australian renewable energy company at an exciting stage of expansion, backed by significant investment from Wollemi Energy Group. You'll work alongside an experienced leadership team, manage high-impact projects, and contribute directly to Australia's clean energy transition.

Please Note
