YOUR NEW ROLE

The role works closely the Head of First Nations Engagement and provides administrative and project management support for the delivery of the First Nations Strategy, focusing on: reimaging and truth telling; self-determination; cultural safety; embedding First Nations in business; and connecting with communities. It also provides advice, project management and coordination of First Nations engagement and consultation initiatives, including heritage matters affecting the Sydney Opera House and related projects.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

Key Responsibilities/Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in a role working with First Nations engagement and initiatives with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid WWCC clearance.

Desirable but not essential

  • Experience in advocating for, promoting and engaging with the broader community on First Nations cultural heritage issues.
  • Experience in cultural heritage management, conservation, and/or interpretation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (business, project management, policy).
