This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Healthcare Project Officer, where you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects that aim to improve healthcare outcomes for First Nations people.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a range of supportive project management activities, including input into project planning and documentation, monitoring and reporting on progress of projects, and identifying issues and proposing possible solutions.
Additionally, they will support procurement and contract management activities, draft and edit meeting and workshop papers, submissions, correspondence, discussion papers, and briefing notes, and provide secretariat support for meetings.
The ideal candidate will have strong written communication and interpersonal skills, effective time management and organisational skills, and sound judgement in the identification of issues and appropriate solutions.
They will also have a strong understanding of government processes, knowledge of the Australian healthcare system, and an appreciation of the challenges faced by First Nations peoples in accessing quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake a range of supportive project management activities to support the delivery of projects.
- Support procurement and contract management activities, including financial administration and budget preparation.
- Draft, edit, and collate meeting and workshop papers, submissions, correspondence, discussion papers, and briefing notes.
- Provide secretariat support for meetings, including preparation of agenda papers, meeting notes, logistics, and other administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with members of the team to support delivery of projects.
- Research, review, and analyse data, reports, published material, and expert opinion to provide information and advice to support the development of projects and initiatives.

BenefitsThis is a full-time position, working in Sydney CBD, with hybrid options available. The salary range is $98,000 to $110,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
The role is part of the newly established First Nations Health team, which is dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes for First Nations people.
