Strategic Leader

The Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport seeks a Strategic Leader to amplify First Nations voices, storytelling, and culture within the 24-hour economy of NSW.

A key focus of this role is to engage with First Nations people and businesses, ensuring their meaningful participation in the development of vibrant, diverse, and inclusive 24-hour economy precincts. The Strategic Leader will lead the strategic delivery of the 24-Hour Economy Implementation Plan, managing a portfolio of complex projects and fostering productive relationships with government, industry, and community stakeholders to drive economic growth and inclusivity across NSW.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in embedding First Nations methodologies for systemic and cultural change.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in providing high-level advice and briefings to executive and board levels.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships effectively, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration across internal and external networks.

You are resourceful, adaptive, and committed to driving positive outcomes for both First Nations people and the broader community.
