The primary role of the Regional Sales Manager is to engage with customers, industry consultants, and distribution partners to understand their business situation requirements and provide innovative Ubiik Mimomax solutions that deliver exceptional value by either assisting with increasing their revenues, lowering their costs, improving efficiency in their delivery systems, meeting regulatory and compliance issues, or improving their customer satisfaction. Opportunity generation and customer opportunity management leading to successful project implementation are the key functions of the role. The role is directly responsible for the achievement of sales revenue and margin targets. The role is responsible for:


• Sales responsibility for defined regions


• Developing sales strategy for assigned markets and contributing to wide business strategy


• Opportunity generation by direct communications with customers on situations that could benefit by the application of suitable Ubiik Mimomax products and services


• Formal Opportunity Assessment for all targeted opportunities


• Ensuring that Opportunity Management is utilized and up to date


• Initiating Bid and Contract reviews


• Maintaining sales/marketing information databases, contact details, and mailing lists of customers, business partners, and consultants pertaining to assigned customer segment


• Bid and Tender Responses


• Solution Design


• Customer and Training Presentations


• Supporting Marketing Communications activities are coordinated across the organization


• Maintaining Price Books and Configuration Tools


• Sales and Customer visit coordination


• Cost and Expense Management


• Ad-hoc Market Research

Technical Expertise

  • We are seeking a technical sales professional with a strong background in wireless technology. This individual must possess subject matter expertise relevant to our clientele in utilities, mining, public safety, and critical communications. The role requires the ability to speak the technical language of our clients, provide credible technology recommendations, and adopt a consultative sales approach to win customer trust and secure business. In addition to technical expertise, the candidate will excel in traditional sales functions, including convincing clients, negotiating contracts, managing customer relationships, hunting and developing new clients, winning against competition, and nurturing existing accounts.

Functional Outcomes

Strategy and Business

  • Understand and support the team vision, values, and strategy.
  • Work with the company sales and marketing manager to develop and support the annual sales and marketing plan and budget.
  • Meet Annual Sales targets and manage expenses within budgets and plans.
  • Provide sales leadership in and communication of vision and direction to the wider Ubiik Mimomax team.
  • Engage in a team culture which supports the direction of the business, meets the overall Ubiik Mimomax philosophy of being innovative and delivering on time to customer's satisfaction.

Opportunity Management

  • Ensure that all opportunities are registered in the opportunity register and appropriately assessed before applying any significant resources to maximize the utility of the company's sales resource.
  • Initiate bid reviews confirming and demonstrating an understanding of the problem and solution space.
  • Confirm that the customer knows what they want and that Ubiik Mimomax and any partner organizations have the capability to deliver a value-based solution to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Obtain the appropriate sign-offs and accountabilities for bid reviews before proposals are presented to customers.
  • Keep copies of all offers and contracts in customer files.

Sales/Sales Activities

  • In conjunction with the Marketing and Sales Manager, develop an annual sales plan and report monthly against that plan.
  • Plan and coordinate sales activities in assigned accounts and territories and work with the sales team to do the same.
  • Maintain opportunity register and sales funnel with up-to-date information.
  • Keep records of all correspondence relating to customer opportunities.
  • Ensure customers are adequately serviced and company satisfaction targets are achieved.
  • Coordinate on-site customer visits such that customers are serviced in an economical and value-producing manner.
  • Assist with checking and signing off of pricing and sales materials.
  • Attend and present at Sales Shows and conferences when required.
  • Provide market feedback to the marketing team on competition activities and pricing.

New Product Introduction

  • In conjunction with the Marketing Team, plan and coordinate new product launches and provide product launch support where appropriate.
  • Document, follow up, and close out outstanding sales and marketing issues that arise from launch activities.
  • Work with Marketing to develop price book templates for new products.

Price Book and Pricing Tools

  • Understand the Ubiik Mimomax Price Book, ensuring that it is up to date and that customers are issued up-to-date copies as released.
  • Become familiar with the Ubiik Mimomax Pricing Tool and make sure that any remote version is up to date and synchronized to the master and the release of new products.
  • Ensure that all pricing changes, including major movements in exchange rates, are captured in the pricing tools.

Quality & Reporting

  • In conjunction with the Company Marketing functions, provide weekly and monthly sales and opportunity reporting.
  • Provide sales activity reporting on any active sales plans.
  • In conjunction with Marketing, monitor customer satisfaction regularly and put in place systems to ensure that ratings continuously improve.
