Energy Bay is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Development Manager to support the planning and execution of renewable energy and embedded network projects across our growing portfolio.

In this client-facing role, you'll coordinate development applications (DAs), Explicit Informed Consent (EIC) campaigns, and manage external consultants to ensure project approvals, documentation, and stakeholder deliverables are met to scope, budget, and schedule.

You'll also play a key role in preparing investment and governance reports, verifying data inputs, and supporting portfolio-wide scheduling and recovery planning.

As the Assistant Development Manager with Energy Bay Developments you will:

  • Development Approvals and Consultant Coordination: Coordinate end-to-end development activities, including Development Applications (DAs) and Explicit Informed Consent (EIC) campaigns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
  • Manage multidisciplinary consultants to deliver planning, environmental, and technical inputs to scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Liaise with authorities to expedite approvals, align project milestones with portfolio targets, and support preliminary scope and capex planning in collaboration with Engineering and Delivery teams.
  • Reporting and Governance- Support development reporting and governance by preparing dashboards, presentations, and investment papers for IC, PCG, and client forums.
  • Ensure data integrity across reporting artefacts and contribute to embedded network conversion projects through accurate data and submission support.
  • Program oversight and Scheduling Coordination - Oversee development scheduling updates, review variances with impact commentary, and support recovery planning.
  • Maintain visibility of critical path risks and ensure alignment with program milestones.
  • Documentation, Registers and Handover Readiness - Maintain project registers and document control systems, support preparation of Construction Management Packs, and assist with lessons learned and continuous improvement across templates and reporting frame-works.
  • Handover to Delivery and Continuous Improvement- Support the transition to delivery by ensuring complete documentation, approvals, and baseline schedules. Coordinate with Delivery Managers to align expectations and contribute to process improvements.

You will be successful in the role if you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Property, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in project delivery and development.
  • 2–4 years' experience in project coordination, property development, or infrastructure delivery, ideally within the renewable energy or utilities sector.
  • Solid understanding of planning and approval processes, including DAs and EIC campaigns.
  • Proficient in analysing project timelines, monitoring progress, and effectively communicating the impact of variances along with strategies for recovery.
  • Strong communicator with proficiency in Microsoft Office, able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly disciplined and organised, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet critical deadlines, and deliver against program milestones in dynamic environments.
  • Self-driven and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in dynamic environments.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external clients & stakeholders.
