
Group Procurement Manager

I'm currently searching for a Group Procurement Manager to join a leading Australian food and beverage company. This is a crucial role within their Operations department, based in Ingleburn, and reports directly to the Head of Procurement.
The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the business, ensuring we partner with suppliers who can deliver on price, quality, and service, and who will help shape the company's planned growth. If you have a passion for continuous improvement and a proven track record in end-to-end procurement, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Group Procurement Manager, you will:
- Manage Suppliers: Secure and manage high-quality suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and third-party finished goods to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Develop Strategy: Create and implement procurement strategies that lead to sustainable outcomes for both the company and its suppliers. You'll need to understand the company's objectives and respond with value-added solutions.
- Ensure Agility: Make sure suppliers meet their obligations and can quickly adapt to the varying needs of a fast-paced business environment.
- Oversee Working Capital: Align procurement practices with the company's expectations for working capital.
- Resolve Issues: Proactively manage and resolve any issues with supplier performance to ensure effective, long-term solutions are in place.
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience: Previous experience in a procurement management role, ideally within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
- Skills: A strong eye for continuous improvement, exceptional communication skills, and a high level of stakeholder engagement. You should be an independent, autonomous self-starter who works well under pressure.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to develop, implement, and evaluate procurement strategies, frameworks, and processes is essential. We're seeking a true team player with excellent interpersonal skills who can build rapport and credibility quickly across different groups.
- Adaptability: The ability to multitask with competing priorities and adopt a highly agile approach to your work is essential.
