Our Ingleburn facility is looking for experienced Reliability Engineer to join our Maintenance Team.
This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for managing site maintenance workflow, training and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Develop asset list within the MEX and PMs with a goal of achieving reduction in downtime.
- Implementation of the PM plan to ensure PMs are being completed in full and on time.
- Assist in the development of Engineering training modules. This includes assistance with the development of SOPs for machinery set up and maintenance servicing.
- Have oversight of training Shift Engineers and Trades Assistants.
- Assist with the Sign off process on training and competency assessments for all Maintenance and Production staff.
- Arrange necessary plant downtime for maintenance and servicing.
- Assist process engineer to deliver approved capital projects. Weekly meetings with Site Production Planner to schedule in required PM's.
- Manage work orders through the site CMMS system.
- Ensure engineering spares are managed closely using inventory control systems.
- Engage contractors/suppliers where necessary to complete work outside the scope of shift maintenance staff, with the idea of training on site staff to complete work where applicable.
- Engage with Shift Managers to ensure production requirements are being met by the maintenance team.
- Involvement in Production toolbox meetings with Maintenance staff to ensure current topics and issues are being communicated and all relevant information is shared with all site stakeholders.
- Work closely with Shift Managers to ensure all unplanned/planned leave of maintenance team is covered and minimum staffing levels are being maintained.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement activities in the Maintenance Dept.
- Lead the rollout of process and system changes in the Maintenance Dept.
- Ensure Maintenance team are organised to conduct daily and weekly tasks.
- Build strong working relationships with all site stakeholders. Production, Warehouse/Logistics, Quality, Health and Safety and Business Leadership.
- Ensure effective decision making and communication occurs with shift leadership and maintenance members to react to unplanned downtime.
- Be the first level of escalation for addressing issues and answering questions in the Maintenance Dept.
- Daily attendance of the DOR (Daily Operations Review) meeting, arrange a replacement if unable to attend.
- R&M and Capex Costs are tracked closely and do not exceed budgeted $ or approved $.
The successful applicant requires:
- Previous experience as a Reliability Engineer (5+ years) within manufacturing environment
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- In depth understanding of maintenance processes
- Sound understanding of quality, WHS and competency-based learning
- Food production background desirable
- Experience using electronic maintenance systems (e.g. MEX)
- Project management experience
