After the recent progression of an internal gun into a more technically focused role, we're on the lookout for an Internal Sales Lead. Someone who can lead from the front, keep things humming and make sure our customers keep raving about the service that's made us who we are.

We're an Australian owned and operated business with over 50 years of success in the electrical, building, and construction sectors. We're not just "doing well", we're growing, evolving and building the kind of team culture that people actually want to be part of (we know, crazy concept).
Our Internal Sales team is the beating heart of the business. They are the people who keep customers happy, quotes flowing and customised solutions on track. Now we need a capable, switched on lead to keep that heart beating strong and steady.
A bit about you...
You're a natural at leading the charge and leading people, not the "command and control" type, but the kind who gets that leadership is about setting clear expectations, backing your team and jumping in, leading by example and getting your hands dirty.
You'll be managing the flow of sales leads, ensuring quotes are accurate and timely and making sure every customer feels like they're our only one (without losing your mind in the process).
You probably tick most of these boxes (and if you don't, but you're awesome, apply anyway):
- At least 3 years selling technical or electrical products
- Strong negotiation, influencing and problem solving skills
- Experience leading or coordinating a small sales team
- A customer centric mindset that borders on obsessive
- An eye for detail and a brain that enjoys juggling 20 things at once
- Experience with freight coordination (or at least know what "consignment note" means)
- The ability to laugh when things get hectic (because they will)
Bonus points if you've worked with electrical components or have an engineering or technical background, but attitude and ability will win every time.
What you'll actually do...
- Lead and support the Internal Sales team to manage their workloads (This is a hands-on role, meaning you will be quoting and assisting customers but you'll also be leading the team and having some fun doing it)
- Allocate, monitor and manage all incoming sales leads and quotations
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, the long term, we would sell our first born to service kind
- Work with suppliers and freight companies to make sure orders flow smoothly
- Collaborate with our Technical, Procurement, Operations, Warehouse and External Sales & BDM teams to keep everyone on the same page
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiency (once you've learned why we do things the way we do)
