About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable officer to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the Account Receivable Manager, you will ensure the timely and effective collection of debt and the allocation of customer payments. This role involves taking part in business process improvements, handling credit risk, ensuring policy compliance, optimising cash flow, maintaining strong customer relationships and upholding the industry best practices to support changing market and business needs.

How You Will Contribute

  • End to end management of allocated AR ledger, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding amounts;
  • ownership of maintaining accurate ledger records to meet weekly group KPIs such as DSO, aging of accounts, Bad Debt ratio, etc;
  • resolve complex disputes and discrepancies to collect debt within agreed SLAs;
  • building and maintaining relationships with key internal & external stakeholders;
  • identify process improvement opportunities and change management; and
  • Assist with providing timely and accurate AR analysis and reporting.

About You

  • 3+ years in an Accounts Receivable/Credit teams, with knowledge of local credit control legislations and best practice;
  • strong interpersonal skills in building relationships with external and internal stakeholders;
  • sound analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
  • proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and reporting;
  • excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills; and
  • experience in fast-paced, high-volume businesses, FMCG industry experience preferred;
  • Diploma / Degree in Finance or related field is preferred but not essential.
