About the Role:

As our Accountant / Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the full range of financial operations for the dental practice. You'll oversee everything from bookkeeping and payroll to reporting and auditing, while also providing valuable insights to support management decisions and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain daily financial records and bookkeeping
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable
  • Process invoices, payments, and payroll
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts regularly
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Manage BAS, PAYG, and superannuation obligations
  • Conduct internal auditing and assist with external audits
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth and profitability
  • Work closely with management to prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
  • Ensure full compliance with ATO regulations and accounting standards
  • Manage all financial activities using Xero accounting software
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (experience in healthcare or dental industry preferred)
  • Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Xero
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Sound understanding of auditing practices and financial compliance
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with management
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
