About the opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Accountant to join our team, located at our head office in Mulgrave, with hybrid working available.

The Graduate Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Finance function. This role ensures that services delivered to our clients are within the agreed funding limits, client service agreements and quoting are valid, invoices are accurate in terms of service delivery records and support worker payroll is paid accurately and on time.

In addition to supporting payroll and funding activities, the Graduate Accountant contributes to the wider finance team by assisting with month-end activities, reconciliations, reporting, analysis, annual audit, and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.

About you

We are looking for applications from graduate accountants looking to commence their career.

You will have a can-do attitude and a highly effective decision maker. You will need to be self-motivated, amiable, honest and reliable. Being highly collaborative, able to engage and an ability to meet deadlines will see you be a strong candidate for this role.

Ideally, you'll have

An ability to work relatively independently and follow end to end processes

Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships

PC Literacy an highly developed administration experience

A proactive attitude and high degree of professionalism and integrity

Good communication skills – verbal and written

An understanding of the disability and NDIS funding environments and knowledge of the SCHADS award will be highly regarded

Qualifications required

Current and valid drivers license

Accounting or Business Degree

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

Working with Children Check (Employee type)

Employment with CareChoice is subject to satisfactory background checks which include Professional References, Employee Working with Children Check, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
