The Opportunity
We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design of our next-generation energy storage technology. This pivotal leadership role within our Product Development Team will see you guiding and mentoring a talented group of mechanical engineers, shaping the technical direction of our innovative solutions, and playing a key role in the design and delivery of systems that will accelerate the clean energy transition.
You'll have the opportunity to design complex mechanical systems from concept to deployment, solving unique engineering challenges at the intersection of mining infrastructure and renewable technology — all while contributing to a purpose-driven mission.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of Green Gravity's energy storage technology from concept through to deployment.
- Guide, mentor, and support a team of mechanical engineers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative culture.
- Champion creative approaches to mechanical design that ensure robust, safe, and efficient solutions.
- Work closely with colleagues across electrical, controls, and systems engineering to deliver integrated solutions.
- Contribute strategic insights to product development roadmaps and long-term technical direction.

- Qualified:
