Based in Wollongong with the opportunity for hybrid working, you will be given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of concept and detailed civil design and documentation on a diverse range of projects, whilst taking responsibility for your projects expanding your portfolio.

As the Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible to:

  • Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders as necessary;
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects;
  • Produce, review and check designs in accordance with relevant design standards and codes;
  • Deliver design calculations, reports and drawings under limited supervision;
  • Provide civil engineering design service to clients as necessary;
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment;
  • Prepare project briefs, scopes of work and fees;
  • Mentor junior team members.

Your Experience Will Include

  • Engineering degree in civil engineering;
  • Ideally minimum 5 years post-graduate engineering consultancy experience;
  • A self-motivated, technically competent individual able to work independently but also comfortable in a team environment;
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills;
  • Familiarity and/or experience with our preferred software packages: DRAINS, MUSIC, Autocad and Autotrack,
  • Road design in accordance with Austroads and best practice. Geometric design and pavement engineering;
  • 12d experience is highly desired.

We enjoy monthly Accrued Days Off (ADO's) and as voted by the JN Team, we work in the office Monday, Thursday and Friday with flexibility to work from home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
