Stolway is an Australian engineering company specialising in hazardous-area HVAC, refrigeration, and climate-control equipment. We deliver IECEx/ATEX-compliant solutions worldwide, supporting industries such as oil & gas, mining, defence, and clean energy. With a growing project pipeline and a new manufacturing facility under development, we are expanding our engineering team.

Role Overview

We are seeking Casual Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to join our team. These roles will be central to the design, execution, and delivery of custom-engineered equipment for harsh and hazardous environments. You will be working across projects from concept design through to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, review, and optimise mechanical or electrical systems for refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
  • Develop and maintain engineering deliverables (P&IDs, GA drawings, datasheets, wiring diagrams, IOM manuals).
  • Oversee procurement specifications and BOMs in coordination with suppliers and vendors.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and FAT.
  • Ensure compliance with IECEx/ATEX, ISO, and relevant Australian standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure scope, budget, and timelines are met.
  • Support ongoing R&D initiatives for advanced energy and climate-control solutions.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 1–5 years' industry experience (graduates/ Final year university students with strong practical skills are also encouraged to apply).
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) and engineering tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork ability.
